AUDO COPENHAGEN: WHERE DESIGN BECOMES A WAY OF LIVING

In the heart of Copenhagen, nestled by the historic harbour, Audo House is more than a showroom. It is a living, breathing expression of what Audo Copenhagen stands for — a philosophy of quiet luxury, intentional living, and design that serves both purpose and presence.

It is a hybrid space – part hotel, part concept store, part creative hub, the House invites guests to dwell, not just visit. Every corner tells a story — of timeless materials, human-centric forms, and a Scandinavian sensibility that favours simplicity over spectacle. Pieces are not placed; they are curated. The space does not shout; it breathes.

Audo Copenhagen was born in 2022 through the thoughtful merging of MENU and By Lassen — two pillars of Danish design heritage. Today, under the creative direction of Joachim Kornbek Engell-Hansen, grandson of MENU’s founder, the brand carries forward a vision rooted in tradition but attuned to the now. It is not driven by seasons or speed, but by the enduring question: how does design shape the way we live?

From furniture and lighting to refined accessories, each object is created to last — emotionally and structurally. Materials are chosen not just for how they look, but how they age. Form follows feeling.

This ethos mirrors our own at Istorja. A shared respect for craft, culture, and the spaces we inhabit. A mutual dedication to slowing down, curating meaning, and cultivating beauty in the everyday.Located on the upper floor of our space, The Apartment is a physical expression of that philosophy — a sophisticated showcase for furniture and lifestyle pieces that also doubles as a multi–use setting for gatherings, slow rituals, and community exchange.

As we trace the lines between Audo’s Copenhagen home and our own Mediterranean rhythm, we invite you to explore a thoughtful edit of Audo Copenhagen available at the Istorja Shop — a place where function meets soul, and home becomes a sanctuary.
